Attitude for 26th of March 2011

True contentment depends not upon what we have; a tub was large enough for Diogenes, but a world was too little for Alexander” by Charles Caleb Colton.

We should not assess other people according to our standards. There are some general moral standards that everyone should keep to, but there are so many aspects in life where you should refrain from assessing other person. We are all different and we have different goals and attitudes in life. If you want to build a financial empire does not mean that another person wants and should do the same thing. He/she maybe satisfied with his/her 8 to 5 job and be happy all the time.

It all depends on attitude. You have to decide how much you want today, tomorrow or throughout your whole life and do not look at other people goals and means to achieve the goals. It is their life and let them live it. They are unique and so are you. One thing that I would advise you to do is to be happy with what you have but not be content with it. Sounds ambiguous, but it is very true. Being happy about what you have allows you to enjoy life now and being dissatisfied with what you have now allows you to concentrate on what you really want in life and plan your future.

These two things do not contradict each other. They actually complement each other and add balance to your life. You not only live here and now and are happy today, but you also have a target in life and you create your future now. Happiness and dissatisfaction should go hand in hand if you want to have a wonderful life now and ten years from now. And all of it depends on your attitude.
