Good thoughts

The more man meditates upon good thoughts, the better will be his world and the world at large” by Confucius.

Good thoughts change you from inside out

Good thoughts is the topic of the post on the blog ‘Thought for the day’ today. Have you ever wondered why one person is good and another one is not, why one takes care after his family and another one does not, why one is able to control his passions and another one cannot and does not. It is all in the thoughts. Thoughts make you who you really are. And you will be the person according to the nature of your thoughts which you meditate on now.

Where can you get good thoughts?

Great thoughts and a pure heart, that is what we should ask from God” by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe.

Personally I start getting those pure thoughts when I pray to my God, read the Bible, various inspirational and motivational quotations and likewise a lot of biographies of great people. Look at those who have left a ‘good trail’ in this life and with time you will start resembling them in your mind, thoughts, words and actions. So, ask God to give you good ideas and when you get them, dwell on them.

Your face and eyes show what kind of thoughts are in your mind

Wicked thoughts and worthless efforts gradually set their mark on the face, especially the eyes” by Arthur Schopenhauer.

You see a lot of artificial smiles nowadays. By looking at a person’s eyes you can say whether the smile is genuine or fake. If it is genuine, his/her eyes tell the same thing as his/her lips. If it is fake his/her smile says one thing and eyes show a completely different one. If you want true genuine joy in your life that could brighten up your face, you have to meditate on joyful thoughts. Those thoughts will bring you joy that will be felt not only on the inside, but also seen on the outside.

You can consciously think good thoughts

The highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognize that we ought to control our thoughts” by Charles Darwin.

People tell me that they are not entirely in control of their thoughts. They tell me that they cannot cast out this or that thought out of their minds. This is not true. You actually do not have to cast bad thoughts from your head. You simply have to invite good thoughts and dwell on them. This is your deliberate choice. Nobody will do it on your behalf. You make a choice what kind of thoughts you want to keep in your mind and then when evil and bad thoughts start knocking on the doors of your mind you willingly shift your focus on other kind of thoughts and spend time meditating on them. This is how you get back power over your life when you lose it when you start thinking carnal and lustful thoughts.

I wish you success in keeping good thoughts in your life.
