Burning past bridges

I remember watching the movie “Kelly’s heroes”. It was cool and fun. That is classics now and Clint Eastwood as well as other actors’ performances was great. The song that gives the theme to the movie was ‘Burning bridges’. That is a very good idea for anyone who wants to advance in his dreams. You have to burn all your past bridges: both your failures and your successes.

In most cases you have to burn some of your memories too. I mean you have to stop associating them as something that was the best in your life. Remember, if you want to live and not merely exist you have to believe that the best is yet to come. Nobody, except you can find your path. And nobody can walk that path, except you. So, why listen to those who are outside and staying behind. They are either going nowhere, or they are going their own paths and haven’t got a clue of what it is to walk your path. Only you know the price, pain and what it takes to walk the path.

So, what is keeping you from marching forward your way? Is it friends, memories, family, your own false beliefs? Do you think you are finished? Well, I have some good news for you: you are not finished and if you dare to believe then the best is yet to come.

Christians say that God is the God of new beginnings. Are you ready to embrace a new beginning? Or you prefer staying in your past memories, embracing and kissing your past bridges? Be brave to forget your past and get ready for new victories and passing (conquering) new bridges. And then burn them too.

Never give up if you fail to get past new challenges. They will succumb if you do not give up. Ok, so let’s burn those bridges and go forward.

Changing habits and changing yourself

If you aren’t satisfied with your life today, yet you continue the same habits that got you here, you’ll still be dissatisfied next year, possibly even more so” by Steve Pavlina

Life cannot change for the positive if we do not change our habits. We form our habits and control them. When they start operating on the subconscious level they start controlling us. So, if they are good, they will give you a positive direction. If they are harmful they will surely harm you. Before you decide change something from the outside, decide to make an inner change and that is to change your habits. Inside out that is the best way to change yourself!

Be grateful

1 Thessalonians 5:18: “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

When unfavorable circumstances surround us we tend to concentrate on bad stuff in life. We start complaining and forget plenty of good things that happen in our lives daily. No wonder we often experience negative feelings such as depression, apathy, anger, disappointment and etc. Try to think of all the good that you have ever experienced. I promise you will feel better. Then start giving thanks to God for these things. Not only will you feel better. You will definitely experience joy and happiness. So, be grateful to God.

What are your thoughts

Proverbs 23:7: “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

People often wonder why they behave the way they do. They say: “I do not know why I did this”, or “I do not know how I did this”. You thought about it. Maybe it was a spontaneous action, but your actions still represented your attitude and your attitude is best expressed by your thoughts. Change your thoughts and you will change your actions. Then you will not have to continue asking the same dumb question “Why I did this”. You are as you think. Any change starts inside. Let God helps us to undergo this inside out change and inspire us to change our thoughts.

Don’t let past control your future

People so often develop limiting beliefs about who they are and what they're capable of. Because they haven't succeeded in the past, they believe they won't be able to succeed in the future. As a result, out of their fear of pain, they begin to constantly focus on being "realistic." Most people who constantly say, "Let's be realistic," are really just living in fear, deathly afraid of being disappointed again. Out of that fear, they develop beliefs that cause them to hesitate, to not give their all—consequently they get limited results. Great leaders are rarely "realistic" by Anthony Robbins

I have already written on two realities: visible and invisible. Your visible reality is based on your five senses and your past experiences and would often place limitations on you as they do not belong to the sphere of faith. Invisible reality is based on faith. You may not find a logical explanation why you can be successful, but if you believe you can you really can. Faith is one of the greatest powers in the world. Anything great that has been achieved has been done by the power of faith. No realists are remembered by history. People who were visionary, faith men and women are remembered forever. Do you want to leave a trail in history? Be a faith person and do not allow your past to control your future.
