“Since the house is on fire let us warm ourselves” Italian proverb.
Would you behave according to this Italian proverb? I guess not. I wouldn’t either. Of course, we shouldn’t accept the proverb literally. It tells about people attitude in difficult situations. I think that most of us would go crazy if our house burnt down. What thoughts would turn in your mind if that happened? You would be depressed for a month at least. Difficult situations show what kind of people we are, how strong we are, how we are able to cope with difficulties, tragedies and losses.
We should not look at any situation only from present perspective. Very often, we behave like this when something bad happens. We think that it is the end of the world for us. Well, I have some good news for you: it is not. Try to see everything from future perspective. Maybe the situation you are facing now will be the greatest lesson of your life that will enable you to achieve and accomplish unimaginably great things. So, train yourself to see everything from a future perspective and try to see positive outcomes for problematic or even bad situations that you experience now.
