Thought for the day 9th of April 2011

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so let us all be thankful” by Buddha.

I am not a follower of Buddha, but I like the way Buddha expressed his attitude here. He wants to find the smallest reason to be thankful. The greatest thing that you can be thankful is that you are alive and can still pursue your dreams and enjoy life. However, I believe that there are many more reasons to be thankful for. If you cannot find any good thing in your life, try to think which bad things are absent in your life and you will get on a ‘positive wave’ pretty soon.

If you feel bad, do the exercise every day. Try to search for good things in your life that you can be grateful about. If you cannot find it fast, search for bad things that are not there. That’s it. If that does not help try to remember people who have serious illnesses and who find it very difficult to enjoy life to the fullest. I hope after these attempts you will feel differently. Have a nice day!
