Thought for the day 6th of May 2011

In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer” by Albert Camus.

Very poetic expression! I believe you see what the author of the quote wanted to say here. In most parts of the world winter is a very cold season. You cannot spend much time outside, enjoy weather, lie in the sun, drink coffee and chat with your friends outside a café. Most of us stay inside our homes. There is not much sun during winter (at least where I live). A lot of people are moody, sad, and apathetic. It is particularly difficult for those who suffer from depression.

Most confess that they are very much affected by weather. I know that. But don’t let something from outside spoil your inside life. Spend a lot of time with your thoughts that dwell on your dreams, visions, and desires. Don’t you concentrate on the thing that you don’t have yet. Imagine that you do have it. Follow a spiritual law: what you see with your spiritual eyes, you get in physical world

So, these dreams of yours, when you dwell on them, they warm you up. They make your thoughts brighter and feelings lighter. Good emotions start coming. Why? Because you allow ‘spiritual sun’ to shine upon you while the physical one seems to be absent. Well, it is not absent; it is just the clouds that hide it from you. But let there be no clouds in your mind. Let no thoughts of hopelessness, despair, sadness, anger and etc. prevail over you. Train your spiritual eyes (imagination) to see your bright future and this future will come to you. If it works for some, it will also work for you. Let there be eternal summer in your soul.
