Thought for the day 19th of May 2011

The excursion is the same when you go looking for your sorrow and when you go looking for your joy” by Eudora Welty.

It takes time, efforts, patience and struggle to find both joy and sorrow. You have to take a separate path to find each one of those. The paths are different but the amount of your energy to get to the place of your destination might be very similar. We sometimes assume that it takes a lot to be happy, successful and prosperous and it takes nothing to be unhappy, always failing and poor. Nothing can be further from the truth. In each case you adopt a certain way of thinking. Then you live according to that type of thinking. Finally you arrive at the fruits of your thinking: good or bad.

So, if both things take efforts to achieve, why walk on the path that leads to misery? No point. Change your direction. It won’t cost you that much as you may imagine. It will cost you more not to change your direction. And you will have regrets after some time. Don’t be afraid, it’s better late than never. You aren’t too old, stupid or poor to walk the path that leads to happiness and success. Any time is the right time. I hope you will go looking for joy!
