Thought for the day 22nd of May 2011

I don’t think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains” by Anne Frank.

There is a lot of misery in the world. We know that. However, the knowledge of that and stating the fact that evil and misery exist does nothing to remove those things from the world or even to reduce the amount of them. If you concentrate on the misery, you will only increase it for by concentrating on something you give power to it to grow and increase. It takes something else to remove misery from life. What is it?

You have to concentrate on the good. Really? Yes. You cannot destroy darkness by concentrating on it. You cannot remove it by being angry at it. You remove it by turning on the light. Light has power to cast away darkness. In the same manner beauty and good destroys evil and misery. You give power to good, beauty and other good thing in life by meditating on them and you welcome them to your life by constantly thinking about them. This also dispels all misery and evil from your life. So, give yourself to positive thoughts.
