Thought for the day 27th of May 2011

Reach for the stars, even if you have to stand on a cactus” by Susan Longacre.

This nice quotation teaches us about importance of our dreams and persistence to pursue them. Goals, dreams, plans give us direction in life. If you do not have any, your life will be purely existence, but not real living. We are here to do something, to have targets and to reach them. Most people experience apathy and even depression because they do not know what to go after and what to strive for. This gives them the feeling of inner emptiness. Calm down and think what you would want to be in five year period, and then make a plan of steps how you are going to achieve it. Then do it.

Occasionally it will be painful steps. It will be like standing on a cactus. Why? Because most people just drift aimlessly through their lives and discourage others to strive for something great. This gives you a feeling that you are alone in your pursuits. You are not. Just there aren’t that many people around you who would have the same goals as you have. However, one day you will find them and become friends with them. So, if you have to stand on a cactus to attain your dreams, do it.
