Thought for the day 16th of May 2011

We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us” by Joseph Campbell.

I could not fully agree with Campbell on this. If you are ready to embrace the life that is waiting for you, it may mean that you will be carried away by any force that is there, somewhere you would never be willing to be or somewhere where your life could even be destroyed. Not everything that comes to our lives should be accepted. Life is full of challenges and trials that you have to fight with and not accept them.

You have to make your own plans and adjust them as you are on your way to fulfill them. You might have to get rid of some at some point for at the time of planning they may seem something that you really want, but turn out to be something that your personality does not need and are not part of your true identity. You should not forget that there are forces of good and evil in this life. Therefore, not everything that comes to you is good and maybe not every plan of yours maybe inspired by good forces.

I know that some would not agree with me on the lines. But I have no intentions to argue. There is good and there is bad. You have all the necessary powers to choose the good. Faith, positive attitude, will power and many more things are at your disposal to be a winner in any battle against the evil. The good is stronger. But you have to allow it to be stronger in your life. Spend time alone meditating about your life, thinking about possible plans you might undertake and choose only those that you start feeling peace about. They will be inspired by good forces.
