20 Inspirational quotes (some funny from movies) about love, life, change, success and death

Inspirational quotes is the topic of the post on the blog ‘Thought for the day’ today. I have already talked about importance of inspiration and how to get it daily. Now, I want to give you some quotes that might inspire you. I will also give short comments of mine under each quote. I hope these can give you uplifted emotional states when you feel down. Come back to the post from time to time for I will be updating it as often as I can.

1. “There’s no next time. It’s now or never” by unknown author.

It is very common for us to postpone everything for next time. By doing that we fail to do things we know we have to do today. In this way a heap of not done stuff piles up. Let us not deceive ourselves and let us save our time, for we have a very limited amount of it.

2. “Success demands singleness of purpose” by Vincent Lombardi.

It is difficult to achieve success if you are scattered and have too many goals in life. You cannot divide your energy into so many parts and expect to succeed in all your endeavors. You need to concentrate all of your energy for a single purpose and use it for achieving it.

3. “The great blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it” by Seneca.

People fail to find the blessings that Seneca talks about because they are searching in the wrong place. It is our attitude that attracts those blessings to us and only by the power of our faith we can get those without much sweating.

4. “The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams” by Oprah Winfrey.

Living life of your dreams is probably one of the most topical questions in modern society. Everybody wants to go after his dreams. And we should. It won’t be easy, but your life will never be boring, for you will be doing what you want, not what you have to do.

Before you go on I would also recommend you to read 44 inspirational Bible verses on Bible verse of the day blog.

5. “Live out of your imagination, not your history “by Stephen Covey.

By living from the past you rely only on your past experience, but as life is in everlasting progress you should adapt your past experiences to the current situation. Imagination helps you to do that. Those who use the powerful tool, rule the world.

6. “You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore” by Christopher Columbus.

Yep, shores provide us with a sense of security. They are our comfort zones. We know every stone on our shores. We may even know every fish that swims there. Ok, joking. There is nothing really wrong with our shores. The problem might be with us, who are in love with those shores that much that we are afraid to sail to open waters and find some unknown land that might become ours one day.

7. Teacher of physics to a lazy student:”Are you still breathing? I will turn of your oxygen balloon”. The student passed the future exam very well.

8. “You gotta decide whether you’re a wolf or a sheep” movie “Training day”.

9. "Today is the first day of the rest of your life? Well, that's true of every day but one - the day you die" movie "American beauty".

10. "When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful" attributed to Eric Thomas.

11. “She's leaving home after living alone for so many years” from ‘The Beatles’ song “She’s leaving home”.

12. “Be faithful to that which exists within yourself” by Andre Gide.

13. “Always be a first rate version of yourself, instead of a second rate version of somebody else” by Judy Garland.

14. “That which does not kill you makes you stronger” by Friedrich Nietzsche.

15. “Happiness does not depend on outward things, but on the way we see them” by Leo Tolstoy.

16. “It takes a great deal of courage to stand up against your enemies, but even more to stand up to your friends” by J.K. Rowling.

17. “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try tomorrow” by Mary Anne Radmacher.

18. “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader” by John Quincy Adams.

19. “Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character” by Albert Einstein.

20. “Little by little one walks far” Peruvian proverb.

God bless you in your search for your news lands.
