Grace of God

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!“ Romans 5:15

What is God’s grace?

Grace of God is the topic of the post on the blog “Thoughts” today. What is it in the first place? It is an undeserved gift that God has bestowed on us. All of us have sinned and deserve the wrath of God. The biggest problem was that we could not do anything to redeem the situation. The Bible says that all of our good works are like ragged clothes. They cannot save us and satisfy the standards of God’s righteousness.

God found a solution

There is not a single person on the planet earth who could boast that he is good enough to enter the kingdom of God by his own efforts or good works. God himself had to find a solution to the problem. He came in the body of a human being (Jesus Christ) and took all our punishment on our behalf. We did not do anything to ‘earn it’. Everything was done by Him. That is God’s grace. It is his priceless favor for us.

There is no evil in God

We can be good, but only if we accept this precious gift – the sacrifice on the cross. Some people say that God is bad, because He allows too many bad things to happen in the earth. It is not He bad. It is we, who do those bad things and then try to place the guilt for those things on Him. He has nothing to do with all the evil that is in the world today. He did everything that is possible to take that away. But it is us humans who are a hindrance for Him for we have a free will to choose as we please and He will not take this free will of ours from us.

You are free to choose His favor or wrath

We are free to choose whether to accept the grace of God or reject it and continue in our own ways. His favor will still be there, but it will be of no use to us. We have to humble ourselves and admit that we need the Savior and gratefully to embrace the grace. Let God Almighty help you to do it.
