Thought for the day 17th of August 2011

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” Matthew 26:41.

What do you do when you fall into temptation? Maybe nothing? Maybe you do not see it as something bad? From a Christian perspective I can say that we must avoid temptation at all cost. Lots of people become slaves to their evil habits because they are not able to say ‘no’ to their desires. However, we have all necessary tools to resist all kinds of temptations and not to give in to them when they come.

One of the methods is prayer. God has enough power to solve all of our problems (including temptations). He can solve the problems of the world in a twinkle of an eye. One of the many methods that He uses to do that is your prayer. By praying you show God than you need help and expect that help to come from Him. He hears your prayers and answers them in proper season. In fact He answers immediately, but the answer sometimes comes later. You should believe that He is close by when you are tempted and He will give you victory over your temptation. That is how you become a spiritual winner and develop strong character. You have to win in a temptation. Good luck in doing that.
