“Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold…” Proverbs 8:10.
What do you base your choices on? What are the criteria that you follow for making your decisions? Are the foundations for your reasoning in material things or in spiritual ones? Your choices show your values. So, what are they? You will never have long lasting happiness if you do not see how precious eternal things and values are. Most valuable thing of all is the Word of God for us. It will never be taken away from you.
If we talk about earthly riches, you never know when they will leave you and you never know when the day of your departure comes and you will have to leave everything that you have collected in your life. Unfortunately, you will not be able to take that with you. Gain eternal riches now, so that you would not have to regret later. All the other material things will be added unto you. Even silver and gold! I mean material blessings. But today you have to set your priorities. Put God first and He will honor you. Let He help you in making the right choices today.
