Thought for the day 23rd of September 2011

Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yoursMark 11:22-24.

I believe I have already talked on the verses a few times. But these are some of my favorite verses and I enjoy coming back to them again and again. Faith has great promises. It is a spiritual principle. God works according to this principle. God is full of faith. Whatever He says, He believes that it will happen. And it happens. God never doubts anything He says. And He always means what He says.

He wants to bring us to the same level too. He wants to live us by faith. He wants us to ask Him in faith. Why? Faith is part of Him. He likes faith and this is the only way we can please Him. If you want to please Him you must trust Him. Never doubt His words. He will stand to it that His words will be fulfilled. Have faith in God!

Thought for the day 12th of September 2011

Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yoursMark 11:22-24

I just wanted to say a few thoughts on importance and power of faith (confidence) in our life. I want you to see that when the Bible talks on faith it does not talk about compilation of religious dogmas and doctrines. No, faith is not about it. Faith is confidence, conviction, assurance of something. You simply believe that it is as you believe. You might be wrong in your confidence, but if you do not have any doubt about it, it is still faith, even if it is a false one.

Now, faith has tremendous power to such an extent that it can change physical reality and according to the words of Jesus, even move objects in the physical world. I am not talking about some New Age stuff. I am just quoting his words and you can be pretty sure that He did not talk about lifting spiritual mountains, He was talking about real mountains. Yes, it was an illustration! He wanted to show what power real and doubtless confidence has.

Of course, you are not supposed to lift real mountains, but you are supposed to trust God that whatever need you have and you pray for it to be solved, you would also believe that your prayer is being answered at the time while you are still praying. If you really believe it will be. Your faith will attract answers from God. It really will. Just try it. God bless you and good luck in practicing your faith.
