„Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom“ 2 Corinthians 3:17.
People want to be free. We do not want to be bound by anything external or internal. Unfortunately, most people are able to liberate themselves only externally but remain bound on the inside. This is inner bondage that comes due to the fact that sin stays inside of us and only God Almighty can remove it. Sounds sad and disappointing, but it is the truth. What do we do then?
The beautiful thing is that when we repent and ask God to forgive us He immediately, by the power of Jesus blood and interference of the Holy Spirit cleanses us from all unrighteousness and we become free on the inside. The Holy Spirit of God brings inner freedom. It never brings bondage. It is not in His nature. He liberates people from the inside. If you are bound some something ask for God to set you free by His spirit and trust that He will do it. He wants to do it. God loves you. Come to Him. God bless you.
